    (1)Mandatory exceptions
         Subsections (a) and (b) shall not apply.            to—
        (A)churches, their integrated auxiliaries, and conventions or associations of churches.

We Are A Gnostic Christianity Priesthood Established on The law regarding the separation of church and state in the U.S. the Constitution First Amendment's Establishment Clause ("Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion") and Free Exercise Clause ("or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"), preventing government from establishing a religion or favoring one over others, while protecting individuals' rights to practice their faith. This creates a principle of government neutrality, ensuring freedom from government coercion in religious matters and from government endorsement of religion, though its interpretation, famously using Thomas Jefferson's "wall of separation" metaphor, remains complex and evolves through Supreme Court cases like Everson v. Board of Education.
